Memorial Day Weekend

Whew, a long weekend was just what I needed. Especially one filled with BBQ and pool time and LOTS of sun. Ruby and I are both sporting sunkissed looks today, but I promise I put 60+ SPF on her! As her hair gets blonder and blonder, her skin is getting bronzer. She really is my baby! Our long weekend started early, with Joe, my dad, and I heading out to Eureka for a special project. My sister's mother-in-law's neighbor (you following?) was looking to get rid of the wooden playground set she had in her backyard. We were looking for something else to put in our backyard.

And there it is! Starting be rebuilt and customized for our little Ruby Ru. I have so many fun ideas for this playset, I cannot even WAIT.

Sunday Ruby had her first real experience in a pool at Joe's aunt's house. I had put her in a pool last year, but she was a tiny baby and had no idea what was going on. This time, she was fully aware that she was in a large bathtub like feature with everyone she knew. And she loved it.

Monday was more of the same, but this time it was a different pool and ribs were on the buffet line. And Ruby loves her some ribs (again, my daughter for sure!).
